Grooverider Fantazia One Step Beyond Rave 1992

Another great 1992 mix from the Godfather of Early Hardcore, and later drum'n'bass, DJ Grooverider (Da Rider - The Bad Boy!). Performed at a one of the most early UK hardcore raves put on by one of the UK's top underground rave promoters, Fantazia. One of those true old skool mixes where you still hear the 4/4 beat mixed amongst hardcore and early proto-drum'n'bass. "I got you rushin' I got you rushin!". Don't hear too many old school rave stabs these days in drum'n'bass (unless they've been truly messed with). This was true hardcore before the big fork that happened in hardcore between jungle/drum'n'bass and happy hardcore/4 beat. Great times. 'ardcore 'ardcore!. Oh the sound quality is pretty crap, but what do you expect from an early Grooverider mix recorded in 1992, it was probably done on crappy cassette tape (yes people actually used them back in those days). Also worth noting that even back in 1992 the MC still shouts "Junglist, Junglist!" - the beginning of the beginning if you will.
